Before going live, make sure you meet these requirements to avoid missing signals or rejected orders.

Confirm your TradingView plan #

To send webhook alerts from TradingView you need a paid plan (Essential, Plus, Premium or Ultimate). Free trials of any paid plan also include webhooks. The free Basic plan does not support them.

TradeAdapter account #

Make sure your TradeAdapter account is active (trial or paid). Go to your profile to verify and locate your:

  • Webhook URL — the endpoint you paste into TradingView alerts.
  • API Key — your personal key to authenticate requests.

MetaTrader (exclusive MT4/MT5) #

  1. MetaTrader installed

    MT4 or MT5 installed on a Windows PC or VPS.

  2. TradeAdapter EA installed

    EA placed in the Experts folder and attached to a chart.

  3. Algo Trading enabled

    Enable Algo Trading + allow required permissions inside MetaTrader.

Recommended

Use a Windows VPS to run MetaTrader 24/7. If you run MT on your local PC, alerts may be missed when your computer is off, asleep, or has connectivity issues. A VPS ensures uninterrupted execution.

Demo test, confirm symbol names, confirm volume rules (min lot / step), and verify TP/SL precision for your instrument.
